January 23, 2012 (Raleigh, NC) — NC State Bookstores and Student Affairs will host an Open House Tuesday, January 24 in Harrelson Hall from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Harrelson Hall will serve as the satellite student center until Talley Student Center Renovation and Addition is complete in 2014.
The Open House will encourage students to visit the NC State Bookstore and Student Affairs organizations that are now located in Harrelson Hall. Students that attend can participate in an “Around the World and Back” contest that will provide incentives if the game card is completed.
Each organization in Harrelson will have free food and an interactive activity. Student Affairs organizations that have moved to Harrelson, include the Women’s Center; Student Organization Resource Center; Parents & Families Services; Campus Activities; Union Activities Board; Student Centers Board of Directors; Chaplains’ Cooperative Ministry; GLBT Center; Student Government; Center for Student Leadership, Ethics & Public Service; and Student Legal Services.
To complete the game card, students must visit three of the eleven Student Affairs offices noted on the game card. The game card also contains a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $30 or more in apparel, gifts and novelties from the NC State Bookstore. To receive the coupon, students must turn in their game card with at least three stamps to the Bookstore on January 24. Once a student returns a game card, they will also be entered into a drawing for several prizes donated by NC State Bookstore and Student Affairs.
