NC State Bookstores, is the official bookstore of NC State University with two locations on main and Centennial Campus. Both locations offer an extensive selection of textbooks, technology related items, school supplies and collegiate memorabilia. NC State University students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors can shop in-store or online. In addition, the bookstore concessions operations provide the Wolfpack fans with apparel and gifts at many athletic events.
The NC State Bookstores has been serving the campus community for almost 60 years as a non-profit, self supporting unit intended to support the academic and retail needs of the campus. All bookstore operational costs are paid via customer receipts. The bookstore receives no university or state tax subsidies, but University administration, as well as the University Trustees, require the bookstore to provide an annual scholarship distribution which assists students in defraying some of their academic costs. In addition, the Bookstore is a unit that contributes annually to Athletics, the Alumni Association, Office of Information Technology, campus departments, students, and student organizations in a variety of ways.

In May 2011, NC State Bookstores closed the doors to its Dunn Avenue home of 52 years to make room for the new Talley Student Center Renovation and Addition. When Talley is complete in 2014, the Bookstore will open in its new location on the corner of Cates Avenue. The new, state of the art, 40,000 sq.ft. operation will offer school supplies, course materials, electronics, apparel/outerwear, gifts, tailgate supplies, jewelry, and a state of the art computer department. It will even feature a Clinique counter and Starbucks coffee.
Until the renovation is complete, the store will be located on the ground floor of Harrelson Hall, which was up-fitted in an incredible seven week time period in spring 2011. The move to Harrelson Hall will assist in expediting the Talley Student Center Renovation and Addition by one year and could potentially save the project millions in construction costs.
The bookstore looks forward to serving the university in its new location in late 2014!
