Campus Enterprises Returns $1,191,394 for Student Program Support and Scholarships

January 8, 2014 (Raleigh, NC) — Campus Enterprises, the lead division for retail and hospitality at NC State University, has returned $1,191,394 to the university for merit/need-based scholarship and student support programs for the 2013-2014 academic year. This is up slightly from $1,187,367 for the previous academic year. The check was presented last month at an event on the Brickyard in conjunction with the NC State Bookstores’ Finals Madness sale event.

The annual contribution was generated through the proceeds from Campus Enterprises organizations, and the division has returned more than $4.5 million since its inception in 2009.  As a part of the office of Finance and Business, the division includes the university’s retail and hospitality organizations, such as University Dining, NC State Bookstores, Trademark Licensing, the Lonnie Poole Golf Course, Student Center Operations (Witherspoon, Thompson, Price and Talley), Rave! Catering, Wolf Xpress Print & Copy, and the Wolfpack One Card. Campus Enterprises is currently leading campus-wide efforts that include the $120 million Talley Student Union renovation and addition.

“We understand the financial challenges to obtaining a college degree, and we are proud to allocate a significant portion of our proceeds to help our students in their pursuit of a degree from NC State University,” said Dr. Dan Adams, associate vice chancellor of Campus Enterprises. “We are grateful to our students, staff, alumni and fans for supporting us throughout the year to make this contribution possible.”
