Major Initiatives

Campus Enterprises is a self-sustaining organization that oversees a broad suite of student-focused and other campus business operations.  The division leads the planning, development and management of auxiliary business and facility operations, including the campus student centers. Our leadership in conceptualizing, planning and building innovative, well-planned facilities assure that improving campus facilities and services remains a high priority.

Talley Student Center Renovation & Addition

The existing Talley Student Center is going through a $120 million makeover that will expand its footprint and position it as a model for student unions across the country.  This LEED Silver certified building broke ground in August 2011 and is on schedule for completion in two phases: Phase I in fall 2013 and Phase II in late 2014. It was designed by Duda Paine Architects, and the lead construction firm is Rodgers Russell/Dayeco.

Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse

Thanks to a generous donation from the Poole family, the brand new 26,000-square-foot clubhouse at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on Centennial Campus is now open to the public.  After a year of construction, N.C. State’s new $6 million Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse is finished. The plush new mixed-use building includes classrooms for professional golf management and turfgrass management students, locker rooms for varsity athletes and visitors to the course, a restaurant and bar and a fully stocked pro shop.

On the Oval Culinary Creations

Opening Fall 2013, this dining facility will be located in the new Wolf Ridge residential apartments.  On the Oval will feature a wide variety of fresh options that will appeal to students, faculty, staff, corporate partners and visitors alike.  A component of On the Oval – Newton’s Diner – has been designed to accommodate early breakfast and late-night dining.

Other major initiatives include the Centennial Town Center Development, Hillsborough Street Development, and Hotel and Conference Center Development.
