RALEIGH, N.C. (Aug. 29, 2013) – The McKimmon Corner Cafe, located in NC State’s McKimmon Center on Gorman Street, has reopened after being renovated during the summer. The cafe, which closed May 10 for the renovations, is now open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The McKimmon Corner Cafe is now officially a Starbucks We Proudly Serve location and is the second dining location on NC State’s campus where students, staff and visitors can enjoy the Seattle-based company’s popular beverage offerings.
The Cafe also serves freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and baked goods. The menu includes breakfast items such as bacon, egg and cheese muffins, cinnamon rolls and bagels. Selections for lunch includes ham and cheese paninis, hummus wraps and chef salads. Like other campus dining locations, the cafe accepts the meal plan equivalency, dining dollars, AllCampus, as well as cash and credit cards.
The McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education is a resource at NC State that serves as a location for learning opportunities, professional meeting facilities and University services. The center meets the educational needs of not only University students and staff, but of other organizations, corporations and governmental agencies.
