Talley Construction Update – November 1, 2012

Crews continue with steel work throughout the site and if you walk by you can see more of the Ballroom taking shape. There will be a night pour next Thursday morning (3am) pouring the 2nd floor east side. For more information read the next 7 below. You can follow along with our live cams.

Schedule: Past 7 Days (October 25 – October 31)

North of Talley – West Side 

Future site of Dock, Dining, Senate Chambers & Arts NC State

1. Continued loading dock pile caps

2. Started the loading dock concrete walls.

3. Continued the concrete topping slabs and curbs (ramps, steps, etc)

4. Continued structural steel and misc steel installation

5. Continued foundation waterproofing and backfill

6. Continued interior wall layout

7. Started the fireproofing and new underground fire line

North of Talley – East Side 

Future site of Dining, Ballroom and Meeting Rooms

1. Continued foundation waterproofing and backfill

2. Continued structural steel

Schedule: Next 7 Days (November 1 – November 7)

Noise continues to be Yellow during work hours. 

North of Talley – West Side 

Future site of Dock, Dining, Senate Chambers & Arts NC State

1. Complete the structural steel and continue misc steel work

2. Continue concrete topping slabs and curbs (ramps, steps, etc)

3. Continue the loading dock concrete walls and complete pile caps

4. Continue second floor fire proofing and new fire line

5. Continue interior wall layout

North of Talley – East Side

Future site of Dining, Ballroom and Meeting Rooms

1. Continue structural steel

2. Pour concrete slab on 2nd floor

  • NOTE: Night Concrete pour Thursday Nov. 7th at 3AM, crews will arrive at 2AM. impacts include lights, backup alarms, revving engines. This work occurs on the East side of the site. Trucks will be entering off of Dunn Avenue.
