NC State Bookstores to donate relief effort proceeds to CSLEPS in support of campus-wide fundraising efforts

March 22, 2011 (Raleigh, NC)— The Center for Student Leadership Ethics and Public Service (CSLEPS), Student Government and Campus Enterprises are collaborating to aid in relief efforts for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.  CSLEPS and Student Government have created the project “Origami Wishes” to fund campus relief efforts.

The North Carolina State University community is joining together to raise funds for this cause that will be directed to the American Red Cross through CSLEPS.  NC State Bookstores, NC State Dining and Trademark and Licensing, divisions of Campus Enterprises, will be joining the campus efforts by selling t-shirts.

The t-shirt design incorporates the “Origami Wishes” logo, the date of the tragic event, an outline of Japan, and the official NC State University Block “S” logo.  T-shirts will be available for purchase on Friday, March 25 for $10.00 each; $5.00 from each shirt will be donated to relief efforts.

In 2010, NC State Bookstores also partnered with CSLEPS to support disaster relief following the earthquake in Haiti.  NC State Bookstores raised $6,960 in relief funds through “Howl for Haiti” t-shirt sales.
