NC State Dining
COVID-19 Serving Plans
Plans to serve our campus community have been posted at dining.ncsu.edu/keeping-you-healthy. This includes our safety and sanitation practices, location modifications and payment methods.
Faculty/Staff Dining during COVID
To ensure a smooth transition for students coming back, we are restricting the dining halls to students only until further notice. We ask instead that you use our restaurants and cafes.
All locations will take either Grubhub mobile ordering or contactless payment (i.e. no cash). Some will take only one; some will take both. It’s important to visit dining.ncsu.edu/keeping-you-healthy to learn more before you go.
Faculty and staff using payroll deduction will be able to get their discount when using Grubhub this year. A special thank you to the Wolfpack One Card office and Grubhub for working out these details. Sign up for payroll deduction at onecard.ncsu.edu.
Re-Opening Signage Available at Wolf Xpress
Wolf Xpress has a library of re-opening signage and directional floor graphics that can be ordered in a variety of formats and sizes. If your department needs signage, please order by July 31. Options are available on their website – go.ncsu.edu/wolfxpress – or by calling 919.515.2131 for a consultation. If you are looking for elevator, bathroom, stairwell or other facilities-related signage, complete this form.
Talley Student Union and Witherspoon Student Center will expand hours for the fall semester beginning July 31, 2020: Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Effective July 31, 2020, NC State will allow in-person events and activities to occur under the guidance of the State of NC Governor’s Executive Order. This will allow for engagement, but in a managed way. The implementation practice will take into account occupancy density per square footage of space at or in the location, with a consideration of 6′ physical distancing per person for all reservable spaces, including outdoor locations.
To align with the limitations of the academic classroom, the maximum number of attendees for any activity indoors should not exceed 100 people. There is no cap on the number of attendees for outdoor spaces, provided that the proposed space and number of attendees comply with occupancy density, physical distancing, and other event requirements. This will vary based on the location and activity proposed.
