wwtee-smNC State Bookstores has partnered with the Office of International Affairs to introduce a new line of products to celebrate NC State’s diversity and global reach. The first Wolfpack World items–special edition t-shirts and mugs–will benefit the ‘Our Three Winners’ fund, which was established to award scholarships in the names of students Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha, whose lives were tragically lost in February.  Deah, Yusor and Razan were devoted to global philanthropic efforts including refugee work in Turkey.

“Deah, Yusor and Razan exemplified the best of NC State and will forever serve as role models for our student body,” Chancellor Randy Woodson said at his address on campus February 20. “Each was not only an outstanding student, but individually and as a family they lived their lives bringing joy to others, helping those in need and making the world a better place.”

mugThe NC State Bookstore and Trademark Licensing office, both part of the Campus Enterprises division, had plans to develop a line of retail products that spoke to the global impact of our university. NC State is the statewide leader in international student enrollment where they make up 10 percent of the student body. More than 1,000 NC State students study abroad annually.

The t-shirt features a world map fashioned from the word WOLFPACK depicted in different languages that was designed by Fernanda Duarte, a doctoral candidate and intern at the Office of International Services. The mug also features a design based on the word WOLFPACK depicted in various languages.

The t-shirts and mugs retail for $10 each. All proceeds from the sale of the WOLFPACK WORLD products will be directed to the ‘Our Three Winners’ Fund.
