Talley Construction Update – November 8, 2012

The picture above is from the site this morning as the sun came up and crews were completing the pour of the 2nd floor concrete slab.

We have an exciting week this coming week! If you walk by on Dunn avenue you will be able to see the interior framing (walls) going up as well as steel completion on the west side. This includes the steel that was signed during the Steel Signing event during Wolfpack Welcome Week so be on the lookout for a white beam on the outer edge of the Pavilions. You can follow along with our live cams.

Schedule: Past 7 Days (November 1 – November 7)

North of Talley – West Side 

Future site of Dock, Dining, Senate Chambers & Arts NC State

1. Completed loading dock pile caps and loading dock concrete walls.

2. Continued the concrete topping slabs and curbs (ramps, steps, etc)

3. Continued structural steel and misc steel installation

4. Continued interior wall layout

5. Started exterior framing

6. Continued the fireproofing and new underground fire line

North of Talley – East Side 

Future site of Dining, Ballroom and Meeting Rooms

1. Continued structural steel

Schedule: Next 7 Days (November 8 – November 14)

Noise continues to be Yellow during work hours. 

North of Talley – West Side 

Future site of Dock, Dining, Senate Chambers & Arts NC State

1. Complete the structural steel and misc steel work

  • This includes the piece of steel from the Steel Signing event during Wolfpack Welcome Week!

2. Continue concrete topping slabs and curbs (ramps, steps, etc)

3. Continue second floor fire proofing and new fire line

4. Continue interior wall layout and start 2nd floor interior wall framing

5.  Install the loading dock under slab drainage

North of Talley – East Side

Future site of Dining, Ballroom and Meeting Rooms

1. Continue structural steel

2. Place the 2nd floor elevated concrete slab
