Things are moving along steadily with the Witherspoon Improvement Project. The exterior stairs are gone and you can expect to see masonry begin next week on the columns and new seating that is to come. The hole located on the south side of Harris Field along Cates Avenue is part of the improvements being made to the drainage of the field. Although the hole should be filled by the end of next week, the orange construction fence will remain around the affected area for the remainder of the project to allow for the sod that will eventually be laid in its place. Event reservations are currently being considered for Harris Field on an individual basis, but make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to host your next event on the new and improved Harris Field in late fall!
