Campus community is invited to view model, ask questions at April 26 event
April 11, 2011 (Raleigh, NC)— Campus Enterprises will host a day-long information table in the Talley Student Center lobby on Tuesday, April 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. North Carolina State University students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to attend.
The event aims to inform the NC State community about all aspects of the Talley project, including dining services, student space, sustainable features, project funding, and the construction schedule, among others. The table will be staffed by student, faculty and staff who are knowledgeable about the Talley Renovation and Addition project.
Attendees are invited to ask questions and interact with student and staff volunteers during the 12-hour period. A schedule of volunteers and topics of expertise will be released prior to the event date, allowing guests to plan ahead. In addition to asking questions, event guests can watch a short video about the project, pick-up informational hand-outs, grab a free “New Talley” button, or stop by for a free cookie.
“This project is going to impact main campus over the next three years, so it’s important that the campus community know not only how to navigate and use the building and the surrounding area during construction, but to also understand what the university can look forward to when this project is complete,” said Jennifer Gilmore, communications coordinator for the renovation project. “It has been carefully designed to be a long-term solution to many of the issues caused by the deficiencies of the current student center as well as the bookstore operations, which will move into the building in 2014.”
