NC State’s Lonnie Poole Golf Course has introduced an updated version of their original logo to better reflect its affiliation with the university and its brand.
As a home for myriad departments and programs at NC State, the golf course is a diverse landscape designed to meet the needs of both the campus and greater Raleigh community. The logo update will allow the course to transition between and meet the brand standards for both academic and athletic departments at NC State.
“The original logo was created more than 10 years ago before the university has gone through a rigorous and purposeful brand refresh,” said Jennifer Gilmore, director of marketing for NC State Campus Enterprises. “We wanted a mark that reflected elements of the original mark while also reflecting the modern, innovative aspects of the university. This new mark does both.”
Visitors to the golf course and clubhouse can see the new logo on golf shop apparel and sporting goods as well as the signature red golf carts.
“It’s a clean look and offers us a lot more latitude on our merchandise,” said Nick Dillman, head golf professional at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course. “It really appeals to the new generation of golfers and ties us more closely with the university. It’s been very well received.”
