Several food options on campus are closed during the beginning weeks of summer 2019. Starbucks and Fountain Dining Hall are going through expansions and upgrades while Hill of Beans + Creamery will be combined in response to DH Hill Library renovations.
Starbucks, located on the first floor of Talley Student Union, will remain closed until July 8. New renovations will expand the popular coffee shop into the Wolfpack Outfitters optimizing its size and service. The entrance door beside Starbucks will stay open for entrance to Wolfpack Outfitters. All other dining options in Talley, including Port City, will be open throughout the summer.
Fountain, NC State’s largest dining hall, closed in Mid-May and will reopen June 16 with an expanded serving area.
“We’ve opened up the space between our two serving areas to offer a wider variety of action stations plus an expanded salad bar,” said Keith Smith, director of board operations at NC State Dining. “This is also giving us an opportunity to upgrade several of our stations with new equipment, and I think students will appreciate all the ways they can customize their entrees to their liking.”
Clark Dining Hall will continue to be open all summer to accommodate the temporary closing of Fountain.
Hill of Beans is closed at the moment due to DH Hill Library renovations. Hill will be moved closer to the Hillsborough entrance of the library joining the Creamery. This temporary relocation will open in the fall and remain in that location until the new front of the library is complete.
