As the semester begins to wrap up, it is important that you end strong in both your academics and your career. Everyone is human, and at some point will need some help. Therefore, I am asking you—please use your resources! NC State and Campus Enterprises provide resources for you so you should utilize them.
- Supervisors: Some people may be shocked by this suggestion, but your supervisors are here to help you. Be honest with them when you can’t work or feel unprepared to complete your hours, and let them know ahead of time. They are here to help!
- The Employee Development Team: The Employee Development Team is a group of students (myself included), created to help represent you in the HR office. There is no one on the time who is not willing to advocate for you if there are issues in your workspace. Feel free to email us with concerns at ce-development@ncsu.edu.
- Online Reporter Classes: Some of y’all may be graduating or close to, and still feel like you need to boost your resume. Well, good news Campus Enterprises offers free professional development workshops. If your resume is looking weak, consider boosting your resume with our workshops. Look at more here.
- University Tutorial Center (UTC): One issue that workers have as we get closer to the end of the semester, is academics. You get burnout, I understand so do I! However, you can’t let your academics diminish so close to the end. Be smart and use your resources. The UTC, is here for you and free tutoring. Just run down to park shops. Look at more here.
- Campus Enterprises Development Blog: You’re already here, but this blog is dedicated to student worker’s needs. Constantly check out this website for helpful tips and tricks on how to maximize your time at NC State. Here’s the blog!
