November 2019

Rachel Gooley

Student Employee, 1887 Bistro

Rachel’s Nomination:
“Rachel is an amazing server at 1887 Bistro who always goes above and beyond in the kitchen and with her customers. She always serves food with a smile on her face and has the most genuine conversations with the people at her tables. One time, a girl at her table did not have enough Dining Dollars on her account, and Rachel paid for the girl’s meal out of her own pocket to avoid making the girl feel embarrassed. She also is majoring in bioprocessing science and is involved in many on-campus organizations, so she has an amazing work ethic in order to balance her difficult classes, including Physics and Organic Chemistry 2, with her work hours. Rachel is the perfect example of an optimistic, selfless, and well-rounded student that any employer would be lucky to have!”

Chelsa Faison

Temporary Employee, Talley Market

Chelsa’s Nomination:

“Chelsa has come a long way as far as being a Supervisor. She has become my right-hand person making Mondays and Tuesdays manageable, to say the least. She comes to work on time, does not call out, stays when needed and volunteers to work on her off days. She volunteers to come back to work even after working 8 hours the same day when we are extremely short on personnel. I am very proud of her and hope she is chosen to be in the CE Spotlight! SHE HAS EARNED IT!”

David Irvine

Permanent Employee, Campus Enterprises Administration

David’s Nomination:
“David is always super helpful to anyone he comes in contact with. If there is a difficult situation he is able to diffuse it quickly and expertly.  Even when he is having a rough day, you’d never be able to tell it. He is always professional and friendly. He goes above and beyond every single day and is a wealth of knowledge.  I have only been with Campus Enterprises a couple of months, and although he is not in my section, he has helped me in numerous ways and has made getting oriented so much easier!”
