Four decades have passed since the NC State men’s basketball team beat Houston for the buzzer-beater NCAA championship, yet it remains one of the most celebrated moments in college sports today. To commemorate the epic victory and the team affectionately known as the “Cardiac Pack,” Wolfpack Outfitters has released a collection of commemorative 1983 NCAA Championship gear for Wolfpack fans.
The collection includes t-shirts and sweatshirts, but most exciting is an exact replica “shirsey” of the 1983 jersey worn by players. Thanks to the new rules governing the name, image, and likeness (NILs) of college athletes, Wolfpack Outfitters has collaborated with eleven of the original players to sign the NIL agreement so fans can purchase shirseys with their favorite player’s name and number.
Fans can choose to wear the name and number of Bailey (41), Battle (33), Densmore (40), Dinardo (10), Gannon (24), Lowe (35), McQueen (45), Myers (31), Thompson (30), Warren (42), and Whittenburg (25).
