August 31, 2012 (Raleigh, NC) — NC State Dining announces its annual All Carolinas Meal on September 5, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Fountain Dining Hall and Clark Dining Hall. The meal is a celebration of locally grown products from all over the Carolinas, featuring products from Hughes Honey, Pamlico Packing Company, House Autry, Larry’s Sausage, House of Raeford, Michael Jones Meats, Smithfield Ham, Soy Delight, Drakes Pasta Company, Butterball, Krispy Kreme, and many more.
The All Carolinas Meal is a popular event that allows students to enjoy regional favorites and support locally produced foods. This year’s menu offers Piedmont Pork BBQ with “Cola Q” and Carolina Pig Sauce, Outer Banks Shrimp & Grits, Turkey Breast, Biscuit Bar, Honey Cornbread, Vegetable Ravioli, BBQ Tofu, Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding, Tart Apple Crisp and more.
“The All Carolinas Meal allows students to connect with healthy, fresh foods and the farmers who grow it,” said Keith Smith, director of board operations at NC State Dining. “This year we’re pleased to add a new element – My Roots are at NC State – where we highlight some alums who are directly contributing to our program through goods and services. We are also working closely with ‘Got to be NC’ to make this the biggest and best All Carolina’s meal ever produced.”
Students and patrons can use a meal-plan meal, pay $10 on their AllCampus account or $10.50 cash or debit. Take out is not available for theme meals.
