Merchandising Assistant- Apparel and Gifts – Wolfpack Outfitters
Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State University’s division of retail and hospitality organizations — NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value, and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success.
Purpose: To provide excellent customer service and experience to all guests shopping at Wolfpack Outfitters.
Compensation: Students will start at a Tier 2 at $12 per hour. Eligible students will receive longevity raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises.
Locations: Wolfpack Outfitters in Talley Student Union
Work Schedule: Hours will vary. Store hours Monday-Friday 9 am – 6 pm; Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm
Duties will include:
The assistant will support the buyer with purchasing and inventory management, including vendor product review and item selection, purchase order entry and order management, returns management, POS system maintenance, and markdowns.
- Retail sales, inventory management, and customer service background
- Familiarity with the use of point of sale systems, and working knowledge of MS Office
- Data Entry
Essential Qualifications
- Current NC State University Student with a flexible schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and customers
- Ability to provide exemplary customer service to every guest
- Ability to accurately handle a high volume of transactions quickly
- Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Computer Knowledge
- Ability to be organized and punctual
