NC State Dining Hosts a Three-Night Series of Stress-Relief Events

April 29, 2011 (Raleigh, NC)— The semi-annual “Night Owl” event will be held at Fountain Dining Hall at North Carolina State University May 3-5 from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., featuring a late-night meal and entertainment for students that need a break during exam period.

For the first time in the event’s history, NC State Dining will extend the final night’s activities and food offerings until 12:00 a.m.

The schedule of events include:

Tuesday, May 3: Wolfpack Karaoke
9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
University Housing, Campus Police and Inter-Residence Council host the opening night of Night Owl featuring triangle karaoke host David Howell.
Menu: Biscuit bar: biscuits, bacon, sausage patties, eggs, American cheese, grits, potato crispy cubes, French toast sticks, sausage gravy, deli bar, black bean burgers, fruit tray, granola, yogurt, donuts, banana nut loaf, and cream cheese brownies.

Wednesday, May 4: Spring Fling and Insect Café
9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Dr. John Ambrose from the NC State Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs along with First-Year College host live entertainment by guitarist Kenny Shore and the NC State a cappella group “Grains of Time.”   Students are invited to try insect creations by Dr. John Ambrose.
Menu: Scrambled eggs, omelet station, Belgium waffles, tator tots, grits, funnel fries, biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage links, bacon, deli bar, mini burgers, veggie max subs, yogurt, granola, strawberries, pineapple tidbits, yellow cake with chocolate icing, donuts, muffins, and fudge nut bars.

Thursday, May 5: Casino Night
9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Join NC State Dining along with volunteers as they host a casino night to conclude Night Owl.
Menu: Omelet station, scrambled eggs, Belgium waffles, grits, crispy cube potatoes, biscuits, bacon, chicken, mini apple turnovers, sausage gravy, corn dogs, black bean burgers, deli bar, strawberries, yogurt, granola, apple sauce, chocolate cake with chocolate icing, mini assorted donuts, mini assorted muffins, and blondie brownies

Students can use a meal plan meal, $7.50 walk-in rate and $7.00 Board Bucks or AllCampus.
