Weight Watchers® Point Values Added to Online Menu Items

|

August 8, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) —  Weight Watchers® PointsPlus® values are now available on NC State Dining’s online menus for dining halls, restaurants and cafes across NC State University.  The system can help students, faculty and staff identify better food choices, learn proper portion sizes and track snacking throughout the day.

To find the point values for a menu item, go to www.ncsudining.com and select your dining location, find the online menu section, and scroll over each menu item.  In addition to the point values, customers can find the serving size, calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat for each item.

“Adding Weight Watchers® PointsPlus® values to our online menus is just another way we can help students, faculty and staff meet and maintain their health goals, “ said Lisa Eberhart, registered dietician for NC State Dining.  “NC State Dining does not endorse Weight Watchers, but we realize that many members of the NC State Community use this program in making meal and snacking decisions.”

If you need guidance in reaching your nutritional goals, call the Student Health appointment desk at 515-7107 or use their online scheduler to arrange a meeting with Lisa Eberhart.
