Another semester is in the books and the year is almost over! The site is buzzing with activity. Interior and exterior walls are going up, fireproofing continues, MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) work is happening, and the building is starting to take shape on the inside. Some rooms are framed in and in some cases you can look down a hallway. Remember back in August when the semester started and the first deck pour was about to begin? Check out the August 16th Update to see a picture of the site.

Project News and Announcements
1. There is a lot of work going on around campus during the break that impact traffic. This includes work on Cates Avenue with installation of a gas line for the New Talley and electrical shutdowns impacting the Cates/Morrill Traffic Light. For dates and other work on campus see NCSU Transportation’s Winter Construction Map.
2. Campus will be conducting a full-scale emergency exercise at the start of the new year, January 4th. This will impact traffic along Cates avenue. For more information see the NC State Bulletin article about the exercise.
