NC State Dining Launches Taste the Difference Nutrition Initiative

February 17, 2014 (Raleigh, N.C.) – Hosted by NC State Dining at NC State, the nutrition initiative “Taste the Difference” will launch beginning February 24 to encourage the campus community to try fresh, wholesome food options.

The week-long program will provide guests with the opportunity to sample select menu items from multiple venues at no charge. Fresh, in-house foods are the focus of the week according to Lisa Eberhart, dietitian for NC State Dining. “You are what you eat and that means taking advantage of the freshest food items on campus is a must,” said Eberhart. The campaign seeks to highlight items that are available on a daily-basis which guests may not recognize as being fresh or wholesome without tasting it first-hand.  As NC State Dining works to provide a wide variety of menu offerings in each location, Taste the Difference sampling events are scheduled for the week of Feb. 24 as follows:

  • Monday: On the Oval
  • Tuesday: Talley Student Union
  • Wednesday: The Atrium
  • Thursday: Fountain and Clark
  • Friday: Talley Student Union

All sampling events are slated for 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
