Performance Plans for 2019-2020
In addition to closing out the current performance cycle, it is also time to start preparing and planning for the 2019-2020 cycle.
Managers should hold a performance planning discussion individually with each employee and put a performance plan in place. This can happen concurrently with the close of the current appraisal process.
Deadline: Scan and email completed 2019-20 performance plans to Kristie Juda by Friday, May 17.
Performance Appraisals for 2018-2019
The 2018-2019 performance appraisal cycle ended on March 31, 2019. SHRA Performance Appraisal Policy
Probationary Employees: Probationary employees hired after October 1, 2018, shall have an extended performance cycle and shall receive a first annual performance appraisal at the end of the next cycle (2020). However, they should receive an off-cycle quarterly review in April 2019.
Deadline: All 2018-19 performance appraisals are due to Kristie Juda by April 19, 2019.
SHRA Performance Appraisal Program Supervisor Training: Participants will learn the essentials of the University’s SHRA Performance Appraisal Program. Upcoming dates: April 4, May 15
Provost’s Professional Experience Program (PEP)
The Provost’s Professional Experience Program (PEP) helps fund work experiences across campus. The program accepts proposals for numerous types of jobs on campus and provides 75 percent of the funding for those positions, with the home department or work unit providing 25 percent.
PEP positions must be renewed each academic year. CE Human Resources has submitted a variety of professional student positions for the division. Hiring Managers can reach out to CE Human Resources for more information about this program.
FSA Filing Deadline
Participants of the Health Care and Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Accounts have until April 30 to submit 2018 claims for anything incurred through December 31, 2018 (March 15, 2019 for Dependent Day Care FSA).

Register for this course within 30 days of hire or promotion to a supervisory or managerial position
Complete this course within 90 days of hire or promotion to a supervisory or managerial position.
