This is a very short annual enrollment period, be prepared to take prompt action when Annual Enrollment begins. Do not wait until the last minute to take action.
Some Key Details:
- ALL employees on the State Health Plan (SHP) will revert to the 70/30 Plan. If you elect to participate with the 80/20 Plan, action will be required by the employee.
- Tobacco attestation:
- ALL EMPLOYEES who wish to lower their SHP monthly premium for 2020 must complete the tobacco attestation during the Annual Enrollment period
- $60 monthly surcharge for those who do not complete tobacco attestation during the Annual Enrollment period
- New! Tobacco users who state they are willing to participate in a tobacco cessation counseling session must commit to visit a CVS Minute Clinic for at least one tobacco cessation counseling session by December 31, 2019, or risk losing the monthly premium credit granted during the enrollment process
- The dental insurance, available through NC Flex, will have three (3) options for employees to select from.

The CE benefits consultant will be available the following days and time to assist employees with the Annual Enrollment Process. Note: There are two dates where the benefits consultant will be located in the Facilities Department. CE employees are welcome to go to this location if the day/time is more convenient.
