Students and their families were treated to a peek at the latest fall fashions with a Wolfpack flair at the 2nd Annual “Strut Your Colors” Runway Show on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, in the lobby of Talley Student Union. More than 20 models — from kids to adults — participated in the show.
“NC State fans are everywhere, and they like to show their pride not only on game days but every day,” said Jeff Halliburton, NC State Stores senior director and emcee of the show. “The runway show featured looks that could be worn at work, around town and in the great outdoors.”
Brands such as Adidas, Champion, League, and Zoozatz were featured.
NC State Employees Janice Sitze and Wyona Goodwin modeled in the show. “Strut Your Colors was a fun opportunity to wear your (Wolfpack) heart on your sleeve…and your legs..and your head,” said Sitze. “There are so many ways — beyond t-shirts — to show your pride in NC State. The show demonstrated the diversity of NC State fashion, in terms of both occasion and wearer.”
Goodwin participated because she is a part of the Wolfpack team and wanted to represent the diversity of NC State as an employee runway model. “I enjoyed the opportunity to also have included my grandchildren, which showed that NC State and Wolfpack Outfitters are a “family-oriented” university,” she added.
