CE Newsletter – January 2020

Employee Self Service W-4 & NC-4 Website Unavailable and NEW W-4 Form

The Employee Self Service (ESS) web pages to submit a new W-4 or NC-4 will be unavailable from Wednesday, January 1, 2020, through Sunday, January 12, 2020. Employees can still view their current W-4 or NC-4, they just can’t make changes.

Once the website is back online, new employees or existing employees wanting to change their withholding must complete the new W-4. It is recommended you closely read the instructions for the new form and use the IRS’s tax withholding estimator. Existing, active employees do not need to complete a new W-4.

Off-Cycle Reviews – Due January 15, 2020

New (non-career status) SHRA employees within their first 12 months of employment (probationary and/or time-limited) who began employment on or before November 1, 2019, are eligible for a January 2020 quarterly review. These off-cycle reviews are to be completed on part 6 (off-cycle reviews) of the SHRA performance appraisal form. Questions can be directed to Amie Frisbie, CE performance consultant.
