Nutrition Assistant

Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State’s division of retail and
hospitality organizations – NC State Dining, NC State Stores, Lonnie Poole Golf Course, NC State Student Centers (Witherspoon and Talley), and the One Card Office.  Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success.

Dining and Catering employees earn free meals and are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus.

Purpose: This position serves as a nutrition assistant for the NC State Dining Director of
Nutrition and Wellness and supports the nutrition program to ensure menu transparency and
accuracy.
Compensation: Starting wage $10.75/hr with opportunity for raises based on years of service
within Campus Enterprises.
Location: West Dunn Building, with periodic event support that may occur in multiple locations
around campus

Essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain an efficient system for reviewing, printing, and delivering daily menu cards for each dining hall.
  • Updating and troubleshooting menu boards accurately through MDI interface.
  • Frequent website and Grubhub audits to ensure accuracy and ensure that nutritional data is being displayed properly.
  • Assist with nutrition data entry in CBORD as time allows.
  • Promotes NC State Dining in a positive way, acting as an ambassador to highlight the fresh, healthy, and nutritious options provided on campus.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current NC State University undergraduate student with a flexible schedule
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and processes carefully
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse supervisors, peers and customers
  • Maintain an attitude of learning and personal growth

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of computer programs and database management
  • Nutrition major/minor preferred
  • Previous experience working in an office environment preferred
