NC State Bookstores Annual Fall Madness Sale – December 2

November 22, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) — NC State Bookstores will discount all general merchandise by 40 percent at the Finals Madness Sale on December 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

The Finals Madness Sale is an annual event held during finals week at the end of each fall semester.  This year’s sale will be the first ever in the bookstores new, temporary location on the ground floor of Harrelson Hall  in the Brickyard. To celebrate, NC State mascots, Mr. and Mrs. Wuf will be on site for photographs between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

In addition to the sale, NC State Bookstores will host a book signing with Bethany Bradsher, author of The Classic: How Everett Case and His Tournament Brought Big-Time Basketball to the South from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The Classic tells the story of the rise of college basketball along Tobacco Road, but also chronicles the scandal that led to the tournament’s demise.

After visiting the bookstore, customers are invited to visit the Atrium Food Court, located in the Erdahl – Cloyd Wing of the D.H. Hill Library for a snack or meal.  The Atrium will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on December 2 and features Chick-fil-A along with a variety of other options.

“We encourage alumni and visitors to take this opportunity to shop in the temporary location and dine in the newly renovated food court,” said Pat Hofmeister, interim director of the NC State Bookstores.  “By discounting nearly everything in the store, we aim to give NC State fans a chance to purchase their favorite merchandise at an incredible price.”  Sale exclusions include: textbooks, computers, computer software, diploma frames, yearbooks, class rings, commencement regalia, special orders, stamps and gift cards.

Parking for NC State Bookstores is available in the Dan Allen parking deck located off of Dan Allen Drive, the Coliseum Deck located off of Dunn Avenue or in metered spaces on Hillsborough Street.  Permit parking is suspended on the weekends and after 5:00 p.m. weekdays.  For more information on parking and the relocation of the NC State Bookstores to Harrelson, visit: go.ncsu.edu/map2bookstore.
