Programs are free and will run throughout the semester
December 12, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) — NC State Dining will offer various nutrition programs beginning spring semester 2012 to faculty and staff at NC State University, including full time, part time and temporary employees. The programs have been coordinated by NC State Dining’s registered dietitian Lisa Eberhart, RD, CSSD, LDN, CDE.
Topic for the spring Nutrition Programs include: a “Lunch and Learn” series throughout the month of January; a “C-Store Nutrition 101” class that highlights the healthiest options available in the convenience stores on campus; and “Dig in to the Dining Halls” a guided tour through Fountain Dining Hall that will show customers how to healthfully navigate the facility.
“We are very excited to offer these programs to faculty and staff free of charge, ” said Eberhart. “I think the programs will be successful because it will cover health topics at the beginning of the New Year – a time when many of us are focusing on weight-loss and nutrition goals.”
