NC State Dining Celebrates National Nutrition Month

|

In honor of National Nutrition Month, NC State Dining’s registered dietitian, Lauren Smith, alongside Student Health Dietitian Soo Uhm are hosting “Tasty Tuesdays” every Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in the Teaching Kitchen at Carmichael Gym.

National Nutrition Month is an annual campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that invites everyone during the month of March to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits.

Each week, the dietitians are featuring a simple recipe that students can make on their own. To stick with this year’s National Nutrition Month theme of “Celebrate a World of Flavors”, Lauren and Soo will be featuring global flavors, with examples including labneh, Lebanese chickpea salad, and a global tea sampling. Students are encouraged to drop in with nutrition questions, and sample the recipes while they’re there!
