As we approach the end of the calendar year, please review the following  Campus Enterprises HR and University HR Holiday Deadline Dates.

Friday, November 19, 2021Tuesday, November 23, 2021December salary actions for SHRA and EHRA employees that are received via PeopleAdmin by 5 p.m. Nov. 23 will receive priority review in order to meet the Dec. 7 payroll lockout deadline.
Please note that all salary and position actions are subject to review and approval in accordance with the UNC System’s guidelines for suspension of HR actions. In addition, salary actions requiring external approval may not be processed in time for the December lockout due to external review cycles.

Friday, November 19, 2021Tuesday, November 23, 2021Job postings received by 5 p.m. Nov. 19 will receive priority review for posting prior to Thanksgiving break. Hiring proposals received by 5 p.m. Nov. 23 will receive priority review for approval before Thanksgiving break.
Thursday, December 16, 2021Monday, December 20, 2021Job postings received by 5 p.m. Dec. 20 will receive priority review for posting prior to winter break. Hiring proposals received by 5 p.m. Dec. 21 will receive priority review for approval before winter break.
Please note that if you are planning for new employees to start before winter break, we recommend that you make your hiring selections and submit hiring proposals to University Human Resources no later than Nov. 16 to account for the time needed for hiring proposal analysis, potential exception reviews and approvals, background check processing and for candidates to give notice to their current employers with enough time to begin before Dec 23.
HR Service Center – Background Checks
Due to background check vendor transition, NO JAR actions requiring a background check may be entered November 12 – 22, 2021.
Thursday, December 9, 2021Monday, December 13, 2021JAR actions for spring semester (early January) hires received by HR on or before Dec. 13 will be given priority for completion prior to the winter break.
HR Service Center – I-9s
Please remember that Jan. 1, 2022, is a Saturday. If a new employee’s start date is Jan. 1, please make sure the employee completes Section 1 of the I-9 form on or before Jan. 1. The employee will then need to complete section 2 of the form with an I-9 user no later than the end of the day on Jan. 5, 2022.
