Annual event welcomes students back to campus
August 8, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) — NC State Dining announces its annual Welcome Back, Pack! event on August 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Fountain Dining Hall and the West Campus Amphitheater. The event is part of NC State’s Wolfpack Welcome Week.
Co-sponsored by NC State Dining and Coca-Cola, Welcome Back, Pack! will include a student organization fair, performances by student groups, games, and giveaways. The night’s activities will be hosted by Motor Mouth Mike, a nationally recognized emcee and comedian.
“Over 80 campus organizations have registered for this annual event,” said Jennifer Gilmore, director of marketing for Campus Enterprises. “All students are invited to learn more about campus groups and join in on the fun before classes begin on August 17.”
The outdoor event is free. A special theme meal will be available at Fountain Dining hall that is included for students on a meal plan; non-meal plan holders can pay $7.85 cash/credit or $7.35 AllCampus . Students can dine-in or take-out with NC State Dining’s Pack&Go option.
This year’s menu features fried chicken, BBQ ribs, shrimp and grits, tofu parmesan, macaroni and cheese, green beans, honey glazed baby carrots, baked beans, Cajun corn bread, chicken and wild rice soup, tomato soup, a variety of desserts, and strawberry shortcake Howling Cow ice cream.
